Friday-Saturday-Sunday: UAB campus baseball field
Hate going to a camp only to stand around most of the time and only get an
inning of work on the field? This is a WORKING, INSTRUCTIONAL camp
focused on the 2-umpire system. When not on the field you will be doing
drills, cagework or classroom so there will be very little down-time. All
games will involve College teams.
All instructors have been to professional umpire school and are active
umpires. Several are current Minor League umpires.
The UIC’s for Alabama JUCO will be on hand to evaluate those umpires wishing to join
the staff (Evaluation does not guarantee selection!)
Camp and JUCO evaluation/recertification: $250
Returning Campers $225
Camp only (exact same instruction!) Just $125!!!
SIAC is a Division II conference that utilizes the three-umpire system and provides hotels for conference weekends. You have several opportunities to try out for the conference staff. These dates are tryouts only and are NOT a camp. You will work a few innings at each position. You only need to attend one date, but give 3 dates in order of preference and we will let you know which date you are assigned. You may bundle your tryout with our 2-man camp or, if you are only trying out for SIAC, register for only a tryout.
